Pool Night

Tonight we vacuumed our pool and finally got the chemicals right to enjoy a swim. It was a hot humid day and we were all sticky. It doesn't help that our bathroom, with the shower, is under construction. It was so nice to be able to go outside and enjoy the evening as a family. Logan didn't worry about working on the bathroom when he got home. Instead we ate a frozen pizza and swam. Easy simple night!
Logan vacuuming and Brennan watching. He loved playing on the stairs while Logan worked. I'm a little worried that he's getting too comfortable around the water - good and bad.

Where's Waldo? Can you find Trevor in this picture. The sun was still up when we went outside at 5:30 and so Trevor enjoyed his spot in the shade. We moved him up to the pool deck when the sun went down a little further. He really enjoyed being outside and sucking his fingers. What more could he ask for?

I've always wanted a pool in my back yard and now we have one. It's kind of a funny above ground pool, but after tonight I'm really excited about it. It has been pretty easy to take care of so far. Logan's done all of the work - taking off the cover, getting the filter going, vacuuming, and chemical levels. We'll have to see how the summer goes and the overall cost of taking care of the pool to see if we'll keep it all 4 years were here.

The back of our house and pool.
Looking from the pool deck to the end of our yard. It's not that big, but it will do. We could probably put another pool in and still have some grass (to give you and idea of how big it is). The two car garage has also been nice to store things in and for Logan to work late at night sawing and working on things for our bathroom.

  2. That's so great that you guys have a pool! Glad to hear you made it safely to Rochester. I think two of my semi-distant relatives in Rochester. I don't know how many LDS wards are in the area, but who knows, you might meet them (Richie Williams and his family, and Whitney Whitney (yep same last name as first) and her family). If you do meet them, they'd know me as Heidi Bluth. Good luck with this next year in Rochester!
